Deleting your account

1. Sign in and open Settings.
2. Scroll to the “Delete account” section at the bottom.
3. Type your username to confirm — this is deliberately awkward so you do not do it by accident.
4. Confirm. The request is accepted immediately and processed shortly afterwards.

• Your account is immediately deactivated and you are signed out everywhere.
• Your profile and personal details are scheduled for deletion. Some records — such as moderation and safety records — may be retained where we are required or permitted to keep them.
• Conversations you were part of may remain visible to the other participant.
• This action cannot be undone.

If you are deleting your account because of harassment or a safety issue, consider reading our safety guidance first — you can also just block or report the person and keep using the platform.
